Program Overview

The Heritage Heights Academy Finale Program is a fun, welcoming next step in volleyball development for athletes who already have basic skills and some prior experience. This five-week program is designed to strengthen fundamentals, build confidence, and further develop a love for the game in a positive, supportive environment.

Led by experienced Rampage Volleyball Centre coaches, athletes will refine their core volleyball skills through age-appropriate drills, game situations, and structured play. The program emphasizes sound technique, teamwork, and enjoyment, helping players feel more confident on the court and preparing interested athletes for higher-level school, recreational, or club opportunities.

Who Can Join?

• Gender: Open to all genders
• Age Range: 12–16 years old
• Eligibility: Athletes ages 12 to 16 who have basic volleyball fundamentals (such as prior gym class, school team, community program, or camp experience) and are ready to build on those skills

This program is ideal for players who are comfortable with the basics, want to improve their technique and consistency, and enjoy learning in an active, team-focused setting.

What Players Will Work On

Throughout the program, athletes will review and reinforce key fundamentals while being introduced to more advanced concepts in a clear, developmentally appropriate way, including:

• Movement efficiency, balance, and ready position with an emphasis on proper footwork
• Forearm passing (bumping) with improved platform control, accuracy, and ball control under pressure
• Overhead passing (setting) with consistent hand positioning, footwork, and targeting
• Serving development, including increased consistency in underhand serves and progression toward reliable overhand serving
• Attacking concepts such as approach footwork, timing, arm swing mechanics, and controlled hitting
• Basic offensive and defensive court awareness, communication, rotations, and an introduction to more structured team play

Coaches prioritize positive feedback, effort, and sportsmanship, helping athletes feel challenged yet supported as they develop their skills.

Program Structure

The Heritage Heights Academy Finale Program runs on Wednesday nights from April 16, 2026 to May 27, 2026, from 7:30–9:00 pm. Each 90-minute session is organized to keep athletes active, learning, and progressing at a suitable pace.

• Dynamic warm-up and movement preparation to reduce injury risk and prepare to play
• Focused technical instruction with high-repetition drills for key skills
• Small-group games, drills, and modified scrimmages to apply skills in game-like situations
• End-of-session review to reinforce key concepts, recognize effort, and track progress

By the end of the program, families will have a clearer understanding of their athlete’s skill level, confidence on the court, and interest in pursuing more advanced training or competitive opportunities.
